A compliance rule, explained

Chase is most miles-and-points experts’ favorite bank because their Ultimate Rewards points are so versatile and valuable, they offer so many card options, and they make their rules for being approved pretty clear. So we all love Chase.

But Chase has rules about not mentioning the bank by name in specific places (namely, on Facebook, Instagram, and in email newsletters), and it requires its affiliates to abide by those rules. And because Travel Freely is one of those affiliates and I get my links from Travel Freely, I abide by those rules.

That means when you see references to “my favorite bank” or “my favorite kind of points,” I’m talking about Chase.

Chase card products are essential to any successful miles-and-points strategy, so it’d be a huge and unnecessary mistake to omit Chase products from my recommendations. You need them! I can’t not mention them in some way. Even if that makes it trickier for me to explain what bank I’m talking about sometimes. So I’m abiding by their rules.

If you’re not an affiliate with links to help people apply for cards, you don’t need to worry about saying “Chase” anywhere. Have at it. Go wild.
