Best credit card offers for February 2024

Here are my top recommendations for the best offers available this month.

Chase Ink Business Preferred: Ever since Chase lowered the spending requirement on this card last year from $15,000 to $8,000, this card has been one of the best options out there. You’ll earn 108,000 Ultimate Rewards points after meeting the spending requirement, and you’ll be able to not only transfer those points directly to airline and hotel partners, but if you have other Chase cards that earn “cash back” points (like the Ink Business Unlimited or Cash), having the Ink Business Preferred will unlock your ability to move those cash-back points to the Preferred account and turn them into Ultimate Rewards points. So instead of just being able to redeem your points for cash, you can transfer and redeem them for luxury hotel stays, business-class flights, or whatever else you’re dreaming about. We do this and get waaaay more than the straight cash value out of our points. And the annual fee is only $95. This is a no-brainer if you don’t have it already!

United Business: If you live near a United hub airport (ORD, IAH, IAD, EWR, SFO, LAX, DEN) or United is one of your only good airline options at a smaller home airport, consider the United Business card’s elevated offer: 100,000 United miles, free checked bags, and two United Club passes for $5,000 in spending in the first three months. I don’t usually recommend many cobranded airline cards, but in this case I do if you would be able to find good nonstop award flights because you have a United-friendly home airport AND because the offer is elevated. Plus, holding a United card means you see more saver award flights when you search, compared with people who don’t have a United card—that’s a huge plus. I wouldn’t get this card right now if you don’t fly United much.

Capital One Venture X Business: If you have a business with high monthly spending (or a large purchase coming up), this limited-time offer is fantastic—150,000 Venture miles with a now lower $20,000 in spending required in the first three months, and it earns 2x on every dollar spent. And if you wanted a great “just use this one card for all my business expenses and don’t have to think about it” option, hitting $100,000 in spending in the first 12 months would get you another 150,000 miles! The 2x multiplier and huge bonus potential make this a great option, plus you get lounge access, good purchase protections, a $100 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit, free employee cards, and 10,000 miles every cardholding anniversary. And this card also doesn’t take up a 5/24 slot, which is an extra cherry on top.

Chase Ink Business Cash & Ink Business Unlimited: I know these offers are lower than the 90,000 points we saw earlier this year, but they’re still solid because there’s no annual fee, 75,000 points is still a great bonus, and you can hold more than one of each of these at a time. And they don’t count against your 5/24 status, so they’re easy to work into your annual card schedule. A great default choice if you’re not tempted by any other specific cards.

There are also really interesting offers right now for a few other cards (e.g., Marriott Bonvoy, World of Hyatt, and a one-year Southwest Companion Pass deal with the Southwest personal cards) that could be good options depending on your travel goals—be sure to check out my Best Offers page to see why we think they’re worth a look!
