Best offers for March 2024

These are the best current credit-card offers that will earn you the most useful travel-rewards points!

Capital One Venture X Business: ENDING SOON! Offer ends 3/11/24. If you have a business with high monthly spending (or you just have a large purchase coming up), this limited-time offer is fantastic—150,000 Venture miles with a now lower $20,000 in spending required in the first three months, and it earns 2x on every dollar spent. And if you wanted a great “just use this one card for all my business expenses and don’t have to think about it” option, hitting $100,000 in spending in the first 12 months would get you another 150,000 miles! The 2x multiplier and huge bonus potential make this a great option, plus you get lounge access, good purchase protections, a $100 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit, free employee cards, and 10,000 miles every cardholding anniversary. And this card also doesn’t take up a 5/24 slot, which is an extra cherry on top. This offer with the $20,000 spending requirement ends 3/11/24 and we’re anticipating that the spending requirement will go back up to the original $30,000 after that.

Chase Ink Business Preferred: Ever since Chase lowered the spending requirement on this card last year from $15,000 to $8,000, this card has been one of the best options out there. You’ll earn 108,000 Ultimate Rewards points after meeting the spending requirement, and you’ll be able to not only transfer those points directly to airline and hotel partners, but if you have other Chase cards that earn “cash back” points (like the Ink Business Unlimited or Cash), having the Ink Business Preferred will unlock your ability to move those cash-back points to the Preferred account and turn them into Ultimate Rewards points. So instead of just being able to redeem your points for cash, you can transfer and redeem them for luxury hotel stays, business-class flights, or whatever else you’re dreaming about. We do this and get waaaay more than the straight cash value out of our points. And the annual fee is only $95. This is a no-brainer if you don’t have it already!

Chase Ink Business Cash & Ink Business Unlimited: Don’t sleep on these cards even though they’re not “new” offers! I know these offers are lower than the 90,000 points we saw earlier this year, but they’re still solid because there’s no annual fee, 75,000 points is still a great bonus, and you can hold more than one of each of these at a time. And they don’t count against your 5/24 status, so they’re easy to work into your annual card schedule. A great default choice if you’re not tempted by any other specific cards. (And you can get more than one of each of these cards….)

Marriott Bonvoy Boundless: If you have a specific redemption in mind in the next year that this card would work for, this could be a great offer that would get you five free Marriott hotel nights. But because the five free nights limit how many points the free nights can go for and the free nights expire after a year, don’t apply for this one if you don’t have a definite plan in mind.

Any of the Southwest personal cards: Offer ending soon! If you want to get buy one, get one free flights on Southwest (or even “redeem points for free flights, get one free” flights) for the next 11 months, this Companion Pass “Light” offer is available until 3/11/24: Spend $4,000 in the first three months after approval and you’ll earn a Companion Pass that’s good until the end of February 2025. You designate a companion and then that person flies for free any time you fly and all you have to pay for them is the taxes/fees. And the points you earn from this card bonus can also be redeemed toward free travel for YOU. It’s not as great of a deal as the normal Companion Pass, but it’s also a lot easier and with a lower bar to entry, so if it makes sense for you, consider applying!
