We splurged on one night at the Park Hyatt Milano while we were in Milan for the Eras Tour and dropped 80,000 points for two rooms for one night. Was it worth it? Yes! My only regret is that we didn’t have more time to spend enjoying the room and all the hotel’s amenities because we were so busy with the concert.

Room: We knew the hotel was going to be fully booked because of all the concertgoers, so we didn’t expect any kind of room upgrade with our Guest of Honor award. And even though we just had a standard king room, it was gorgeous. And HUGE. Hardwood floors, marble bathroom, crisp linens, pleasantly upscale-neutral décor: this hotel room was designed to quietly impress. (The kids’ room was the same.)

The room included an entry area that was perfect for storing our concert merch, a bed bench, a small table and chairs, a leather ottoman in the bathroom, a large armoire with a safe, slippers, robes, and everything else you’d expect in a five-star hotel.

Hotel & amenities: This is one area I can’t give a personal assessment of because we literally checked in, got ready for the concert, went to sleep, and had breakfast—no time at all to explore any of the hotel’s amenities. But the hotel has a lot to offer if you do have time to investigate—a cocktail bar, electric-vehicle charging, a spa, a fitness center, two restaurants, and an extremely helpful concierge desk. This hotel feels like it gives extremely personalized luxury service to a very cosmopolitan clientele. I can’t imagine needing something here that the staff wouldn’t bend over backwards to make happen.
Food/drink: Breakfast at the Park Hyatt was complimentary for one of the two rooms we reserved because we booked with a Guest of Honor award. We could order an entrée from the printed menu and also enjoy the full breakfast buffet.

Everything we had was delicious, and the selection was amazing—not only were there typical European breakfast items (e.g., pastries, cold cuts, muesli, fruit), but there were two additional buffet areas with Chinese and Middle Eastern choices, as well. There was also an entire table full of breakfast desserts.

Customer-service highlight: When we ordered our breakfasts, we asked our server if our Guest of Honor benefit meant that just one room’s breakfast was included, or if it applied to both rooms. (I always want clarity!) The server investigated and came back and told us that it applied to only one of our rooms. That was what we expected, and we figured out that the kids would rather just eat pancakes or something off of the à la carte menu (between €15-20) instead of the full breakfast buffet (€62), so they went with the à la carte options. But when we checked out of the hotel later that morning, we were told that the kids’ breakfasts had been included as a courtesy anyway. I don’t know if they would have done that if the kids had had the full buffet breakfast, but it was a nice surprise nonetheless.
And what a beautiful room to have breakfast in!

Parking/location/transportation: You could not ask for a better location—the Park Hyatt is smack dab in the middle of Milan, literally a stone’s throw away from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

The hotel website lists valet parking as an amenity, but there’s absolutely no reason to drive in Milan because their public transport options are great. The hotel is right by the Cordusio metro station and there are several bus and tram lines nearby, as well.
My take: Our stay at the Park Hyatt Milano was such a fun Hyatt points splurge! This hotel was so luxurious, so accommodating, and so convenient to everything people want to do and see in Milan. If you have the points and are tempted, it’s a must-stay hotel destination and you’ll feel pampered the whole time you’re there.
